Response to a little life

Starts slow and a bit irritating but gets better.

Quote "the only trick of friendship, I think, is to find people who are better then you are--not smarter, not cooler, but kinder, and more generous, and more forgiving--and then appreciate them for what they can teach you, and to try to listen to then when they tell you something about yourself, no matter how bad-or-good-it might be, and to trust them. . ." P. 210.

He now viewed a successful relationship as one in which both people had recognized the best of what the other person had to offer and chosen to value it as well, p. 568.

Instead of making people better, make them less sick. Maybe most of us can't get "better" whatever that is. . .

Life is a series of adjustments ( or alternatively resisting adjustments) and that is not the same as settling
